The true mark of a great singer is the ability to take a song and transform it into something unique and undeniably believable. Maysa does just that every time she steps to the microphone with her remarkably beautiful and instantly recognizable voice.

For those who have never seen this incredible artist before, Maysa's career began as a member of Stevie Wonder’s group Wonderlove before she become a member of the internationally-acclaimed Incognito with whom she penned the hit single "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing." Since then, Maysa has appeared on over seven Incognito recordings.

Maysa recordings include her self-titled debut in 1995, followed by her second album All My Life in 2000, Out of The Blue in 2002, Smooth Sailing in 2004,Sweet Classic Soul in 2006, and Feel The Fire, 2007. In 2008, Metamorphosispeaked at No.1 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Jazz top 100 chart and no.13 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. In 2010, "A Woman in Love", Maysa 8th Solo cd debuted at No.1 on the Contemporary Jazz Charts. Maysa's 9th solo album,Motions of Love, released in November 2011,debuted at No. 1 on Billboards Contemporary Jazz Charts and Number 7 on the R&B charts.

Maysa has also collaborated with well-known jazz performers like Gerald Veasley, Rick Braun, Will Downing, Jason Miles' Soul Summit, Rhythm Logic, Jonathan Butler and Pieces of a Dream.

Special guest tonight is the luscious soul voice of singer Lina plus up and coming soul singer Honey Larochelle.

Wow ! How GOOD was that !! A BIG Thank You to everyone who came along to Manchesters Band On The Wall last night to witness Maysa's debut show as a headlining act. And boy did she deliver her silky golden voice was segued perfectly with her heartwarming storytelling and magical stage presence ! Just go and download / buy her new album Blue Velvet Soul ! Without a doubt last night was a "You had to be there moment !"
She was on stage for almost 2 hours but it flew by as she effortlessly presented songs from her 10 album repertoire with some great interaction and smooth interchanges as she fronted her very impressive and tight band very ably assisted by Angela Phillips on background vocals (a good friend of Tracy Hamlin,c'mon Tracy we are waiting for you :-).
Maysa's Hypnotic Love was the highlight of a wonderful set drawing a great response from the audience of happy smiley faces and genuine affection for Maysa ! If you are in or around London tonight Sunday June 16th Maysa is at The Jazz Cafe with special guest Noah Francis don't miss this ! Also a huge shout to Honey Larochelle who supported Maysa last night as she worked her way through tracks from her new album The Yes Feeling, this girl has some talent and again a superb stage presence checkout her album.Finally a big shout to Mike Chadwick and JM for making this happen !!
