We did promise a spectacular year of events, and in addition to the Heritage Weekender, we can also now finally announce the official

summer UK gathering of the international musical family. On Saturday 30th August – Sunday 31st August 2014, we will be taking over

Park Hall in Chorley (near Preston) for a new event called CAMELOT literally just off the M6 and easily accessible from all over the

UK, the venue will hold 1,500 of the Southport family in four different indoor spaces connected with a lovely courtyard. We have also

secured 120 hotel rooms onsite and another large hotel just two minutes walk away.

The party will start at 1pm on Saturday 30th August and run straight through until 6am Sunday morning. Yes it will be a SuncéBeat

reunion like no other, yes it will have a world-class line up that only we could deliver, worthy of a Weekender, squeezed into one

epic, all day and all night party, and yes it will be absolutely unmissable!

We’ll be bring a soul music sensation in the Connoisseur’s Corner with legendary Southport Weekender residents, guests and friends

Terry Jones, Bob Jeffries, Colin Curtis and Richard Searling, plus the soulful sounds of The Unabombers and an exclusive disco set

from DJ Spen, fresh from tearing the roof off the SuncéBeat Dome at The Big 50.

In the Funkbase, we’ll be bringing that urban flavour with Bigger, JP, Ronnie Herel and the fantastic Trevor Nelson.

Meanwhile in the Powerhouse we’re fuelling the UK – Chicago connection with London titan Grant Nelson and deep house maestro Ron

Trent.

And if all that wasn’t enough, once the sun sets we’ll be moving to the on site night club to get down to the sounds of Dimitri From

Paris before The Basement Boys (Karizma, DJ Spen and Teddy Douglass) take us to church with a full live performance from Jasper Street
